Paws for Access: A Global Survey on Assistance Dog Rights

About the Report

Paws for Access is a groundbreaking global survey capturing the real-world experiences of over 1,000 assistance dog handlers across 20 countries. Despite international laws meant to protect their rights, too many face discrimination, denial of access, and emotional harm.

This report reveals:

  • 43% of handlers were refused access in the past year
  • 56% experienced rideshare or taxi refusals
  • 65% encountered skepticism due to fake assistance dogs
  • 40% considered avoiding public places altogether

Together, we can change this.
