Maumee, OH – August 15, 2025 — Assistance Dogs International (ADI), the leading global authority in the assistance dog industry, is proud to announce the appointment of David Locklin as its new Executive Director. Locklin brings more than 25 years of experience in the assistance dog field, with a distinguished career spanning both the United Kingdom and the United States.
“David’s passion for ADI, its members, and the broader assistance dog community, combined with his deep industry knowledge and leadership experience, make him the perfect choice to guide ADI into its next chapter,” said Danny Vancoppernolle, Chair of the ADI Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to welcome him as our new Executive Director.”
David began his journey with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in the UK, where he became a certified guide dog mobility instructor. He later moved to the United States, joining Leader Dogs for the Blind as Director of Programs.
