As of the 2025 census, there are 11,426 dogs/puppies in training with ADI Accredited Member organizations with a wait list of 7,887 potential clients.

21 ADI Accredited Member organizations state they offer a structured internship program for assistance dog trainers to the public.

172 Accredited Members submitted a 2025 census.  In 2025, the number of organizations that train and place:

  • 0-10 dogs per year: 95 (55%)
  • 11-25 dogs per year: 42 (24%)
  • 26-50 dogs per year: 18 (10%)
  • 51-99 dogs per year: 10 (6%)
  • 100+ dogs per year: 7 (4%)

In 2025, ADI accredited members placed 4,291 new assistance dog teams.
