Welcome to the ADI Blog!
ADI is excited to announce that we are starting a blog! This is an excellent opportunity for programs, program staff, or even program volunteers/participants to contribute to the Assistance Dog industry on a variety of topics.
The ADI Blog Subcommittee is seeking contributions from individuals who work at an ADI accredited or candidate member program. The subcommittee is looking for blog posts (or submitted content that we can craft into posts) on the following topics to be featured on ADI’s website:
- Topics of your own choosing may be submitted for approval by the subcommittee
- Not sure what kind of ideas would be welcomed? Here are just a few ideas to get you thinking!
- ADI Participation:
- Why I volunteer for the ADI (Education/Standards/Marketing/Membership) Committee.
- Why your program sought accreditation, participate in ADI committees or education programs.
- Disability Awareness:
- What I learned by participating in team training as a client
- Educational articles on dog/program types (i.e. The benefits of PTSD Dogs, Mobility Service Dogs, Autism Dogs, etc.)
- Program Management:
- How our program prevents staff burnout and promotes staff wellness
- How to drive culture change in your program
- Volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
